SoftSide Padding in Recreation Management

Did you catch the RenoSys mention in last month's Recreation Management? Here we've shared the text itself below, which features a great use for the best padding in the business. Take a look!

If you're not familiar with our aquatic safety padding, then there's a good chance that your aquatic center is under-protected. SoftSide™ Safety padding is ideal for a wide variety of uses at the pool ranging from under and around water play equipment, at water-slide run-outs, above water-slide entry points, around hard pool columns and components, under dive stands/diving boards and more!

The picture from Recreation Management above is an excellent example of quality padding in place and protecting the most vulnerable guests at your facility. Water play equipment comes in many forms – but the area around and under this needs to be protected from falls and for a soft landing. One of the best features of SoftSide padding is that it is totally customizable to your unique structures. If you have, say, a crab in the kids area, then you can order crab-friendly and crab-shaped SoftSide padding that will fit your water-play feature exactly.

SoftSide padding is available from 1”-4” thick depending on your needs. It's available in common, ready-to-order sizes as well as custom options. The best part of SoftSide padding is knowing that it's designed exclusively for your aquatic center. Unlike lesser pads that might be performing double-duty as playground-equipment pads and pool safety padding in a pinch, SoftSide was created just for the pool by experts with decades of experience. We know exactly how tough the pool environment can be for the pool components themselves, and designed SoftSide padding to withstand years of usage and perform while looking appealing. SoftSide is made from cushioning safety foam covered in a thick layer of PVC. SoftSide's exterior is pore-free for easy maintenance, and formulated to resist both organic growth and fading – meaning it will look good while protecting your patrons.

The data is also in: tests show that SoftSide padding reduces serious head fall-trauma by 97% and fatal head fall-trauma by 100%. The impressive results garnered the  endorsement of Dr. Tom Griffiths, noted aquatic safety expert. When you're considering the right type of padding to put under a dive stand or around a water-play feature, SoftSide padding has the scientific tests to prove it can help keep your aquatic facility safe.
